Welcome to the resort of Praia da Lux, which translated to English means Beach of Light. The name comes from the time when the Moors occupied the Algarve. The local villagers would light fires on the beach as a warning to fishermen at sea of the approaching danger from the savage moors. This small friendly resort is perfect for families or couples who like a relaxed pace of life away from the crowds. You will finds English and Irish Pubs, Intimate Restaurants, Souvenir shops, Supermarkets, Cinema, hairdressers the list is endless. It has a long sandy beach as you can see from the photograph above perfect for all types of water sports that are available for hire locally. A palm lined walk with benches leads you to the side of the resort where your accommodation is situated. Finding your way to the property should be easy using the Directions provided.
